IMPOSSIBLE PERFECTION

Have you ever seen a child, after being told something was hot, walk over and touch it anyway? It seems like it’s human nature to have to test things out and see if something is really true. Are you ever like that with God? You know something is wrong, but you have to test your limits to see how far He’ll let you go – or wonder how far you can actually go before you sin? It’s proof that you can’t live a perfect life on your own. Everyone experiences moments when they do things they know they aren’t supposed to be doing – or they don’t do things they know they should do.

Living a God-centered life is not easy. Our heart’s desire should be to live for God and strive to be more like Jesus in everything we do. Only by the power of God can you be freed from your bondage to sin, and only through your faith in Jesus can you be completely cleansed. No one can live a perfect life. Yet, with God’s help, you can make every effort to live in a way that pleases God. Surrender your entire life to God today. Be willing to let Him help you strive toward a life that trades in your agenda for God’s agenda; trade in your plans for God’s plans.

GOD LOVES YOU UNCONDITIONALLY

Unconditional love is a love without condition. A love that will always be there no matter what you have done or will do. You can’t earn it and you can’t lose it. Read Romans 5:6-8 to learn more about God’s unconditional love.

You will never be unlovable to God and there is not anything you can do that would keep God from loving you. Even when we are at our worst, God still loves us. It’s God’s mercy and grace. Even though we are sinners, Jesus still died for us. That is an amazing love. Close your eyes. Be still. Know that you are forever loved by your Heavenly Father.
