7th GRADE GUYS & GIRLS
7th Grade Boys and Girls trip will be Saturday, November 17. We will meet at First Baptist Church at 10 AM and will depart from Chattanooga (to return home) at 3 PM (Central Time).
We will be going to the Chattanooga Mall. If you plan on going, you need to sign up with Thea or in Sunday School no later than Nov. 14. You’ll need to bring money for lunch, any snacks, and any shopping you want to do!
If you are not a 7th grader and are wondering if we have a special trip planned for your grade, the answer is: yes. Here are the other grade outings; mark your 2008 calendars…
January 26 – Seniors February 9 – 8th grade March 29 – Juniors April 19 – Freshmen May 3 – Sophomores DEVOTIONAL THOUGHT paraphrased from “My Utmost for His Highest” by Oswald Chambers The circumstances, of the Christian teenager’s life, are ordained by God. God brings you to places, among people, and into certain conditions to accomplish a definite purpose through the intercession of the Spirit of God in you. All of your circumstances are in the hand of God, and therefore you don’t have to think they are unnatural or unique. Your part in intercessory prayer (or praying for others) is not to agonize over how to pray, but to use the everyday circumstances and people God puts around you by His providence to bring them before His throne, and to allow God’s Spirit in you the opportunity to pray for others. In this way God is going to touch the whole world with your life and lives like yours. Currently FBC’s Youth Group has several local mission projects on our remaining 2007 calendar. The significance of reaching out in our own backyard is just as important as the various ministry endeavors that we participate in elsewhere. Be sure and pray about the possibility of being involved in the following events…
