Looking Back / March Happenings
- Summer Missions Staff appointed: The team will consist of 8 summer missionaries: Alana McCormick (AL) Lisa Langly (AL), Emily Baccus (AL), Tiffany Durr (KY), Heather Hall (KY), Kristen Garret (KY), Lindsey Moore (LA), and Michelle Glover.
- Spring Break mission teams from Baldwin County (Fish River Bapt., FBC Silverhill & FBC Orange Beach.), Wallace CC, and the U of Alabama Huntsville, worked with us in March to provide backyard Bible Clubs, Christian concerts, and other evangelistic outreach events on the beaches and campgrounds in Gulf Shores. We also worked with students from the First Baptist Church of Pelham.
- Shrimp Festival Committee Meeting at the Chamber of Commerce
- Ongoing student worship and devotionals at F S C C; a college student on the Jubilee Baptist Church youth ministry team, Carl Wade, has been a great encouragement to our BCM efforts. The mission team from Wallace also provided a worship service at the campus in March as well – this was part of the missions experience while in Baldwin County over Spring Break.
- Ongoing campground worship services, the snowbird population has shrunk considerably; however, the services continue at Luxury RV, Island Retreat RV, and the Gulf State Park Campground.
- We wrapped up our snowbird choir practices and Bible studies until the Fall.
- North American Mission Board Week of Prayer / Annie Armstrong Easter Offering — I enjoyed opportunities to share at FBC Foley, FBC Silverhill, Miflin Bapt., and Oyster Bay Bapt.
- Several pre-project visits in March – meeting with youth ministers as they prepare to partner with us in the summer
- Mission Project with FBC Foley’s youth group – these students did a great deal of work to help us prepare for the multiple weeks of Spring Beach Reach on the coast.

An Encouraging Quote:
No, I do not become discouraged. You see, God has not called me to a ministry of success. He has called me to a ministry of mercy. —Mother Teresa
